About Bakpak Durden
With a primary focus on the human figure, Bakpak Durden, uses a range of mediums including oil and acrylic paint, graphite and photography to create their hyperrealistic and conceptual style. With an eye for detail and emotion their engaging subjects shine a spotlight on human feelings, moods and experiences. Outside of the studio, Bakpak takes their work into the public art realm through a series of murals, and focuses on continuing their work within community, queer, and mental health advocacy.

Summer Camp
Bakpak Durden is one of the four artists of our Jaunt Summer Camp 2020. Together with four other artists we are sending them for a short and pleasurable retreat at Camp Wandawega, just two hours outside of Chicago. Connecting with each other, with nature, and sharing creative processes along the way.
